West Hollywood : Animal Shelter Agreement

Under a new agreement between the city and Los Angeles County, all animals impounded in West Hollywood will be sent to a shelter operated by the Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals at 5026 W. Jefferson Blvd., West Los Angeles.
The shelter is open from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on weekends. The telephone number is (213) 730-5300.
Until recently, all impounded West Hollywood pets were taken to the county animal shelter in Carson, more than 25 miles away. That shelter is still handling dog licenses and other services. That telephone number is (213) 327-1171.
