Irvine : Construction Forces Westpark Street Closure
- Share via
Because of street construction work in Westpark, the city’s newest village, motorists who use Harvard Avenue between Barranca Parkway and Main Street will have to find an alternate route for the next week.
The road closure is expected to be the first of eight required on Harvard Avenue through next fall. A spokesman for the Irvine Co., which is developing Westpark, said the street closures are necessary to build underground pipelines and other necessary equipment for future Westpark residents.
The 5,200-home Westpark community is bounded by Barranca Parkway, Culver Drive, the San Diego Freeway and San Diego Creek.
