Olive View Medical Center will open its doors in late April with modern, state-of-the-art equipment and spacious medical and surgical wards. It will serve the thousands of San Fernando Valley residents who need public health care. County Supervisor Mike Antonovich was among a dozen local politicians on hand Saturday to praise the efforts that resulted in the rebuilding of the hospital. Olive View will also provide the Valley’s first county-run maternity ward, which is still under construction. When contrasted with the county’s Mid-Valley Hospital in Van Nuys, the new hospital will offer a much more efficient, comfortable environment for the poor.
