MOSCOW — The supply ship Progress 25 docked Friday with the manned orbiting space lab Mir, Tass news agency reported.
The unmanned craft carried fuel, food, water and other supplies for the long-term functioning of the Mir, which was launched Feb. 20, and which is intended to form the core of a permanently staffed space station.
Cosmonauts Leonid Kizim and Vladimir Solovev, who were launched in a Soyuz space capsule March 13, boarded Mir last Saturday. It has not been announced how long they will stay.
