A federal grand jury in San Diego has indicted two North Hollywood men on drug charges in connection with an October attempt to smuggle 16 kilograms of pure cocaine from Mexico.
Guillermo Espinosa, 48, and George Pratt, 25, were charged with conspiracy to import cocaine and the importation of cocaine with a retail value of about $4 million. They were arrested Monday in Los Angeles after a secret indictment a few days earlier, according to Assistant U.S. Atty. Patrick O’Toole.
Federal agents seized the cocaine Oct. 29 at the San Ysidro border crossing.
