Fire in Foster Home Kills Six Children

WAVELAND, Miss. — Fire broke out in a foster home here today, killing six small children.
“The children were in adjoining rooms in the back of the house where the fire broke out,” Coroner Harold Stiglet said. “They were all burned.” The foster parents and their teen-age son escaped the blaze but were taken to a hospital to be treated for shock and injuries. Cause of the blaze has not been determined.
