Doctor Sends Chaney Home to Rest; He’ll Fly to Phoenix Today
- Share via
Clipper Coach Don Chaney was sent home for rest Thursday, as the team practiced for tonight’s game at Phoenix against the Suns, because he apparently had the flu, a spokesman said.
Chaney “complained of very mild chest pains” and was taken to a doctor’s office for tests, the spokesman said. “All were normal and all pointed to early signs of the flu. The team leaves tonight (Thursday). Don’s not going. He’ll go home tonight and get some rest.”
Chaney is expected to fly to Phoenix today.
