Danny Nee, a high school teammate of Kareem Abdul-Jabbar who built a successful basketball program at Ohio University, was named coach at Nebraska.
Nee replaced Moe Iba, who resigned March 14 after the Cornhuskers lost to Western Kentucky, 67-59, in the first round of the NCAA tournament.
