William P. Long, 19, of Tustin was killed Tuesday morning when his motorcycle collided with a car turning left from Walnut Avenue onto Tenby Lane, police said.
Long was apparently driving “at high speed” when he rode his Kawasaki into an Oldsmobile driven by Peter Krusec, 61, of Tustin, Lt. Robert Schonkopf said.
Long, who was wearing a helmet, was taken to Western Medical Center in Santa Ana, where he died in surgery, a hospital spokeswoman said. Krusec suffered moderate injuries and is in stable condition at the hospital.
The collision is under investigation, Schonkopf said.
