‘Sharing Road With Truckers’
My heart and eyes opened up upon reading in The Times (April 3), “A Trucker Possessed.” I am a young Los Angeles resident who has been in several near-misses with “hot-dog” tractor-trailer operators. One of these incidents was actually being driven into the dirt on the shoulder of the 101 freeway. My life was questionable during those fast seconds.
I know that the majority of the tractor-trailer operators are good drivers. My congratulations to them for their awareness and safety concern while driving a potential killing machine.
I hope that Claude Sams finds the killer of his child. I know I will be watching and hope that normal passenger vehicle operators will be alert to unsafe drivers on our roads.
