Costa Mesa : Chamber Will Present Heart Award Thursday

A San Clemente resident has been named the recipient of the Costa Mesa Chamber of Commerce’s 1986 Heart Award for his volunteer service in the county.
Robert W. Clifford, executive vice president of the Irvine-based public relations firm of Thomas Wilck Associates, will be recognized for his service at an awards dinner Thursday.
The award is presented annually to an Orange County resident who has demonstrated an interest countywide in citizens and organizations, a spokeswoman for the Chamber of Commerce said. She said Clifford, 65, has chaired fund-raising campaigns that have brought commitments of more than $35 million.
Clifford, retired president of AirCal, was chairman of the Orange County Olympic Committee and is a member of the Orange County Coast Assn. and the Industrial League of Orange County.
The Heart Award dinner will be at the Westin South Coast Plaza hotel at 6:30 p.m.
