Preparations for the 1988 Summer Olympics at Seoul are on schedule and running smoothly, a top official of the organizing committee said.

Sangjin Chyun, special assistant to the president of the Seoul Olympic Organizing Committee, said most facilities to be used in the Games should be ready 2 1/2 years before the lighting of the Olympic Flame in September, 1988.
