The letter from William B. Habegger (March 14), regarding reports that the FBI kept a secret file on Samantha Smith, has been brought to my attention.
I want to assure you that news reports suggesting that Samantha was the target of an FBI investigation are inaccurate. Samantha served her country well and she is loved and sorely missed by all of us.
