STOUT TO RECEIVE SPECIAL EMMY

Bill Stout, anchorman and commentator at KCBS-TV Channel 2, has been chosen to receive a special Emmy Award from the board of governors of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. It was will be presented at the annual Los Angeles area Emmy Awards May 3.
Stout, who won local Emmys in 1984 and 1985 for his commentaries, was chosen for the governors’ award in recognition of what the academy said was his distinguished career covering Los Angeles as a broadcast journalist, starting at KNX radio in 1950.
