The Region : Landis Loses ‘Twilight Zone’ Trial Plea
- Share via
Film director John Landis lost his attempt to be tried separately on manslaughter charges that he and four others face as the result of the July, 1982, helicopter crash that killed actor Vic Morrow and two child performers on the set of the movie “Twilight Zone” in Saugus. Attorneys for Landis sought a separate trial because a lawyer for one of the other defendants indicated he may raise a defense that could be prejudicial to the director. Superior Court Judge Roger Boren denied the request, but told Landis’ attorneys they could try again later. Boren scheduled trial for July 8.
