Twenty California architecture students are among the 250 students and professionals that have been awarded scholarships by the American Institute of Architects and the AIA Foundation.
All but seven of the scholarships, ranging from $500 to $2,000, went to students. The total amount awarded students and professionals was $207,000.
Awards are based on evaluations by the AIA scholarship committee of each applicant’s academic record, financial need, statement of purpose and recommendations by deans or department heads.
Southland winners include: Nancy J. Goldsworthy, Serena Chow, Kim Green, David A. Davis, Ramon R. Klein, Joann B. Choi, Sean P. Catherall, Stephen S. Wong, Edward F. Maglione, Michael R. Perkocha, Dean L. Pratt and Heather G. Johnson.
