National Education Buys 2 G+W Units

National Education Corp. said it has completed its $100-million acquisition of two training divisions from Gulf+Western Industries. H. David Bright, NEC’s president, said the Deltak and Resource Systems International units had combined revenue in 1985 of more than $75 million. Deltak, headquartered in Illinois, provides training in data processing and management. Resource Systems produces custom-designed training materials for the utility and industrial companies.
National Education posted net earnings of $12.5 million on revenue of $183 million in 1985 and reported first-quarter, 1986, net income of $2.3 million on revenue of $44.6 million.
