Boxing promoter Don King filed suits totaling $60 million to block the May 31 heavyweight fight between Gerry Cooney and Eddie Gregg because he said he has an exclusive contract with Gregg.
The Cooney-Gregg fight, being promoted by American Championship Enterprises, headed by Dennis Rappaport, Cooney’s manager, is scheduled for San Francisco and is to be televised by ABC.
