High school newspapers in San Diego that ran military recruitment advertisements must also accept ads from an anti-draft group, the U.S. 9th Circuit Court of Appeals ruled in San Francisco. A Grossmont Union High School District administrator had rejected the advertising from the San Diego Committee Against Registration and the Draft (CARD) in 1982, arguing that the ads would contribute to the solicitation of illegal acts.
