A pesticide blamed for severe skin irritations among farm workers in Tulare County orchards, has been withdrawn from the market by the manufacturer. State officials said the Uniroyal Chemical Co. has agreed to buy back all Omite CR stock now in circulation. Several hundred farmhands were treated for severe skin rashes last month after working in orchards in the Lindsay area that had been sprayed with the pesticide.
