Federal Express to Buy 66 Litton Laser Systems

Federal Express will buy 66 laser-based navigation systems from the Moorpark-based Aero Products division of Litton Industries. The overnight delivery service will use the units mainly on its DC-10 aircraft, including some on order from McDonnell Douglas.
Shirlee Clark, a spokeswoman for Federal Express in Memphis, said delivery is expected to begin in August. Shipments will continue through June, 1987, she said. Neither Litton nor Federal Express would disclose the purchase price.
