After six consecutive days of talks on two dumping cases and other semiconductor issues, the sides had failed to reach an overall agreement by late Wednesday. However, talks were expected to continue late into the night and industry executives said they were hopeful that a pact could be reached that assures them access to Japan’s market and ends anti-competitive practices in the United States.
