Two of your worst nightmares may be merging in the same movie.
According to New Line Cinema pres Robert Shaye, there’s a possibility that Jason, the hockey-masked killer of “Friday the 13th Part VI,” may do battle with Freddy Krueger, the demented/deformed star of New Line’s two “Nightmare on Elm Street” pics.
“We’ve talked,” said Shaye, “but Paramount’s already done five sequels with Jason. We’ve got to make Freddy a little tougher before he battles Jason. That kid has some real mental problems.”
Until then, Robert Englund reprises Freddy in “Nightmare on Elm Street III, the Dream Warriors,” due to lense in August.
