Thieves stole an estimated $800,000 worth of Oriental rugs from a store in West Hollywood during the weekend, Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies reported. Investigators said the burglars apparently entered the store in the 8400 block of Melrose Avenue through a skylight before fleeing with about 175 rugs of assorted color, size and value. No suspects were in custody.
