A 30-1 Longshot, Easy Conversation, Wins Invitational

Easy Conversation, with Eddie Garcia aboard, won the Los Alamitos Championship Invitational for 3-year-olds and up Saturday night at Los Alamitos Race Course before a season-high crowd of 10,253.
Easy Conversation covered the 440-yard distance in 21.77 seconds.
Trainer Blane Schvaneveldt had the first four finishers in the race.
Easy Conversation, a 30-1 longshot, paid $71.80, $17.60 and $6. Second-place finisher Go Partner, with John Ward aboard, paid $6 and $3.40. Third-place finisher Cash Rate paid $2.40.
Garcia, who had a spill at the wire in the third race, was taken off two mounts before coming back to ride Easy Conversation.
It was the feature race on the closing night of the 52-night quarter-horse meet.
