A three-man committee has upheld golfer Mac O’Grady’s six-event suspension and $5,000 fine imposed by PGA Tour Commissioner Deane Beman, the PGA announced.
In a letter to O’Grady’s attorney, Steve Novak, and the PGA, Appeals Committee Chairman E. M. de Windt said the board found that statements made by the golfer about PGA officials, players and a tournament sponsor “did in fact constitute conduct unbecoming a professional golfer.”
