Continuing a 20-year fund-raising tradition, the KCET Women’s Council has presented $150,000 to KCET Channel 28, the Los Angeles public television station. Alice Coulombe, retiring president of the council, made the presentation to Kyhl S. Smeby, chairman of the board of directors of KCET Channel 28.
The donation was result of “Hollywood Salutes Sondheim,” the council’s recent fund-raising gala that featured Howard Keel, Pam Dawber, Lee Remick, Robert Guillaume, Lynn Redgrave, Lee Horsley and others in a program of Broadway music by Stephen Sondheim.
