Culver City : Fleet of 21 New Cars Ordered

The City Council has approved the purchase of 18 police and fire department cars for $241,000, and awarded bids totaling $54,500 for three other autos for senior city officials.
The police and fire cars will be 1986 Chevrolet Caprice four-door sedans to be used mainly as patrol vehicles. They will be bought at a volume discount and are identical to those selected by the county Sheriff’s Department, according to a Culver City staff report.
The three new executive cars will be four-door Buick sedans for use by the city’s chief administrative officer and the police and fire chiefs.
