3 Officers Killed in Crash of Jet-Powered Helicopter

MOUNT IDA, Ark. — A jet-powered helicopter carrying lawmen on their way to destroy a marijuana field crashed and exploded shortly after takeoff, killing three of the officers aboard and injuring two others, authorities said last week.
