NEW YORK — The ability to convert free throws is vital in basketball but what if you don’t get a chance to shoot them?
They’re still talking in college circles about the game between Columbia and Delaware. It may have been a first. Columbia, playing at home, went the entire game without taking a foul shot. Delaware was charged with six fouls but none called for a free throw.
Not very coincidentally, Columbia lost the game, 66-62.
