Anaheim : 40-Acre Brush Fire Is Brought Under Control

County firefighters battled a 40-acre brush fire Sunday in steep terrain near Anaheim Hills.
No injuries were reported and no structures were threatened, a county spokeswoman said.
The fire was near the extreme east end of La Palma Avenue, near the Riverside Freeway between the Coal Canyon Road and Green River exits.
The fire burned for about two hours before 75 firefighters gained control about 7:30 p.m. County firefighters were assisted by the California Department of Forestry and a U.S. Forest Service air tanker.
The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
