Local News in Brief : North Hollywood Man Dies After Car Flips

A 21-year-old North Hollywood man speeding on the Hollywood Freeway in Silver Lake died Sunday when he attempted to change lanes and his car careened off the center divider and flipped over, the California Highway Patrol said.
Jose D. Castillo was pronounced dead at the scene of the 3:10 p.m. crash, said CHP Officer Yvonne Cotroneo.
Four passengers received minor injuries and were taken to area hospitals for treatment.
After unsuccessfully attempting to change lanes, Castillo swerved across several lanes as he drove north on the freeway south of Silver Lake Boulevard and struck the center divider, Cotroneo said.
