Gilbert Robinson of the law firm of Robinson, Wolas & Diamant has been appointed trustee to manage the bankruptcy of the Concord retirement apartment complex in Pasadena.
The appointment of a trustee was approved by U.S. Bankruptcy Judge William Lasarow at the request of the Office of the U.S. Trustee, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, which holds the Concord’s mortgage and subsidizes the tenants’ rent, and the tenants of the 150-unit building.
The owner of the building, the Concord Senior Housing Foundation, has filed a Chapter 11 bankruptcy petition seeking reorganization of its debts.
