Fountain Valley’s Graham Wins Girls’ Tennis Tournament

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Fourth-seeded Deborah Graham of Fountain Valley won the U.S. Tennis Assn. Girls’ 16 National Championship Saturday with a 6-2, 3-6, 6-3 victory over unseeded Caryn Moss.
Graham, 16, won the singles title in a match that lasted more than two hours.
After wining the singles title, Graham took a short rest before going on to capture the doubles championship with partner Jessica Emmons of Phoenix.
The top-seeded duo defeated Elizabeth Nau of Bloomfield Hills, Mich., and Joanna Plautz of Indianapolis, 6-4, 6-3.
