Pasadena : Talks Continue on Hutch’s

Hutch’s Barbecue, a downtown restaurant slated for condemnation to make way for the sprawling Plaza Las Fuentes development project, may not be condemned after all, city officials said.
Talks are under way between developer Maguire Thomas Partners, city officials and restaurant representatives to come up with a new design for a hotel planned at the north end of the development so that razing the restaurant can be avoided.
A final decision on condemnation proceedings is scheduled for Sept. 8.
