TEHRAN — Iranian Prime Minister Hussein Moussavi on Sunday blamed the United States for last week’s hijacking of a U.S. airliner in Karachi and the massacre of Jews in an Istanbul synagogue, Tehran radio reported.
“We strongly suspect that America has committed these acts to create grounds for more pressure on militant forces,” Moussavi said after a Cabinet meeting, the radio said.
He also said the assaults were not legitimate methods in the struggle against “world arrogance and Zionism,” adding that “revolutionary and Muslim forces cannot endorse attacking people in airplanes or temples,” the radio reported.
