Hawaiian Pacific Airlines, which has run afoul of state and federal authorities for selling advance tickets without authority to provide air service, filed in U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Los Angeles, court clerks confirmed. The filing also sought a stay of eviction proceedings against the Los Angeles company, which has never flown. The Transportation Department said in December that it was investigating the airline in connection with the ticket sales.
