WASHINGTON — Rep. Ted Weiss (D-N.Y.) was flown by helicopter to Washington Hospital Center on Thursday night, after he complained of chest pains during a Capitol Hill banquet.
Doctors considered his condition “serious but stable,” a hospital spokeswoman said. Weiss, 59, has represented New York’s 17th District since 1976. He has a history of heart trouble and was undergoing diagnostic tests at the hospital. It was not immediately known whether he had suffered a heart attack.
