Wickes found a buyer for its Simmons unit.

The Santa Monica-based company, which previously had disclosed plans to sell its domestic and international bedding operations, said Wesray Capital Corp. and members of the Simmons management team will buy Simmons for about $120 million. The sale includes bedding businesses in the United States, Canada, Europe and Japan, but those in Australia and Brazil are being sold separately. Wickes is also keeping the Simmons Universal and Simmons Juvenile Furniture operations. Wesray is an investment company whose chairman is former Treasury Secretary William E. Simon.
