Deukmejian Veto of Bilingual Bill

Gov. Deukmejian deserves to be commended on his veto of the bilingual bill.
It is refreshing to see that someone with authority has accurately appraised that current political buncombe described as “bilingual education.”
Assembly Speaker Willie Brown’s comment about the governor having forgotten his immigrant heritage is sheer nonsense.
