A five-day international peace conference in Copenhagen ended in a fracas when about 50 demonstrators stormed the stage. The protesters, calling for the withdrawal of Soviet troops from Afghanistan, battled security officials and delegates until police arrived to eject them. Organizers of the conference, largely financed by the Soviet Union, said the protesters got in using forged cards.
