Earnings for Armor All Up 18% in Second Quarter

Armor All Products Corp., whose car sealant holds what the company estimates to be 90% of the automotive protectant market, posted net earnings of $2.7 million for its second fiscal quarter ended Sept. 30--an 18% increase from earnings of $2.3 million for the same period last year. Revenues for the quarter were $19.1 million--a 9% increase over $17.5 million in revenue for the prior year.
For the six-month period, the Irvine-based subsidiary of McKesson Corp. reported a like 18% increase in earnings to $6.7 million, up from $5.7 million for the comparable six-month period in 1985. Six-month revenues were also up, increasing 16% to $44.5 million from $38.4 million in 1985.
