College Roundup : Johnson Leads USIU Past Fullerton

Claudia Johnson had 21 kills to help United States International University to a 15-9, 14-16, 15-6, 15-8, nonconference victory over Cal State Fullerton Wednesday at Torrey Pines High School.
The Titans (6-23) were led by Susan Herman and Stephanie Melton with 15 kills each. USIU is 16-12.
In men’s soccer:
Cal State Northridge 6, Chapman 1--Northridge got goals from six players and three assists from Jose Diaz in a California Collegiate Athletic Assn. match at Northridge. The Matadors (6-0-1, 12-2-2) led 4-0 by halftime. Chapman’s only goal came when midfielder Scott McCrimmon scored off a pass from John Hudson. Chapman is 9-8-1.
