The Virginia Tech Board of Visitors approved a proposed settlement of Bill Dooley’s $3.5-million lawsuit against the school for firing him as football coach and athletic director. Dooley, who will leave at the end of the football season, sued for breach of contract. The amount of the settlement has not been announced.
