An 23-year-old taxicab driver was stabbed in the face late Saturday in a dispute with another man.
Dale Peppers was listed in good condition at UC San Diego Medical Center with a lacerated ear, a hospital spokeswoman said Sunday.
Marlow Johnson, whose age and address were not available, was arrested in connection with the incident. He was being held in the County jail on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon.
San Diego Police Sgt. Jim Wallace said Johnson and Peppers became involved in a dispute about 11:30 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of State Street and Broadway. Johnson allegedly pulled a hunting knife and stabbed the cab driver, Wallace said.
