Proposition U: Growth Limits

I am dismayed that The Times has chosen to oppose Proposition U. Our city is in the midst of a development spree that continually reduces the quality of life for everyone living here.
Zoning limitations like those in Proposition U, along with a cohesive planning system that takes into account the total environmental impact and costs of new construction, are desperately needed if we are to prevent further overburdening of our streets, our sewers and the air we all (attempt to) breathe.
