CREDIT DUE

In the article on the making of “Wildfire” (“The Heat and the Smoke in ‘Wildfire,’ ” by Pat H. Broeske, Nov. 2), one paragraph begins: “As originally scripted by King, the relationship was steamy.”
I found this rather odd, as I wrote the original script, which was optioned by Zalman King and finally purchased by Jody Ann Productions so they could make “Wildfire” into a motion picture.
The Writers Guild of America is currently conducting credit arbitration between Zalman King and myself. It is they who will determine who will receive writing credit for this film.
