ORANGE COUNTY PREP FOOTBALL : Orange League : Giovannini and Huy Lead Western Past Magnolia, 27-7

Art Giovannini scored two touchdowns and Mike Huy ran for one and threw for another Thursday night to lead Western High School to a 27-7 victory over Magnolia in an Orange League game in Glover Stadium.
Giovannini scored on two short runs in the first half to help the Pioneers take a 21-0 halftime lead. Huy scored on a three-yard run and threw a 26-yard scoring pass to Jim Howell to complete the Pioneers’ scoring.
Western finished 3-2 in league and 6-4 overall. Magnolia was 0-5 and 2-7-1.
