Beverly Hills : 50 Youths Off on Finland Trip
- Share via
The Santa Claus Foundation of Beverly Hills has sent 50 underprivileged children on a Christmas trip to Finland, with a special stop at “Santa’s home” in Lapland.
The children, ages 10 to 12, were chosen from youth agencies sponsored by the Salvation Army, Camp Ronald McDonald for Good Times, Chinatown Services, Los Angeles area YMCAs and the Orange County Indian Center.
The children departed Sunday after a brunch at Robinson’s, which presented each child with a toy and clothing for the trip.
The Santa Claus Foundation was established this year as a charitable extension of the city of Beverly Hills’ holiday program. The foundation hopes to expand the program to provide year-round funding for local youth agencies.
