Avalon : Grant Management Award

Avalon has received an award from the Los Angeles County Community Development Commission for being the most improved city in managing its federal Community Development Block Grant money.
The city, which receives about $25,000 a year, has completed rehabilitation of two sewer pump stations and a storm drain project.
